“Spellbound” is a duo hammock act that is choreographed and performed by the Los Angeles based artists, Rain Anya and Lena Alani. Lena is a professional performer and aerial arts instructor and has been involved in Paper Doll Militia’s creative projects since 2013. Lena offers private lessons and group classes at circus schools in L.A., as well as specialty traveling workshops across the U.S. (www.LenaAlani.com) Rain is a founder and co-artistic director of Paper Doll Militia. The company has been creating original aerial theatre for over a decade and is based in L.A. and Edinburgh, Scotland. Their current show LoopsEnd, recently toured across both the U.S. and the UK. Their newest work in development, Warped, is supported by the National Performance Network’s Creation Fund and will debut in the year 2019. The company also has a strong instruction program, including specialty workshops, teacher training, retreats, and aerial consulting.
