Katie is a Pacific Northwest based multidisciplinary circus artist who seeks to inspire through creative movement; both grounded and gravity defying. She opened an aerial studio in Gig Harbor, WA in 2018 where she spends her days training and sharing her love for circus. Like any true northwesterner her busy days are fueled by coffee and countless cuddles from her dogs Juliet and Romeo. Katie tells us that she was introduced to aerial by her “wonderful mother” who, several years ago took up aerial and interested her daughter in doing the same.
Katie specializes in aerial rope and hand-balancing with a secondary focus on aerial silks, straps, multichord, and partner acrobatics. Her love for movement and an awe inspiring skill set began at the age of eight years old when she attended her first gymnastics class. Filled with passion for the sport and a complete lack of talent, she started to build the foundation for the life she now has. Her sense of unreasonable determination began at a young age allowing her to become the artist, athlete, and business owner she is today.
