With a history of gymnastics, theatre and visual arts, Jacki entered the circus world in 2005 and pursued her training in Seattle, San Francisco and Buenos Aires. Jacki’s first passion was contortion and hand-balancing, the discipline she has performed locally and abroad. She has since branched out into a variety of aerial apparatus, and is currently specializing in duo straps and cerceau. Additionally, Jacki is a certified hatha yoga instructor and holds a B.A. in Anthropology of the Performing Arts from the University of Puget Sound. She was a 2011-2012 recipient of the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, through which she traveled to Mongolia, China, India, France and Canada to study local performance traditions and training methods in contortion and the circus arts. She has coached at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA) in Seattle, The Circus Project and Night Flight Aerial in Portland, and conducted workshops around the world.
