Cowgirl cabaret duo, Buxom, is formed by cellist/vocalist Ashia Grzesik and guitarist/vocalist Amanda Richards. These two met as finalists in one of Portland’s open mic competitions in 2008. Their outrageously funny and off-color material found them competing head to head for a cash prize of $1,000. Ashia ended up taking home the cash, but the dirty duo was formed regardless for the love of sultry vocal harmonies and beguiling racy lyrics. Amanda Richards’ bohemian country background and fingerstyle guitar-work lays a handsome foundation, while Ashia liberally inserts whimsical alt-cabaret cello lines that will leave the listener begging for more.
