Open Stage at Old Stove Gardens
Join us August 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. for our summer Open Stage at Old Stove Gardens in Ballard.
This special event takes place outdoors in the courtyard at Old Stove Gardens, creating a relaxed summer setting where audiences can enjoy live variety arts under the open sky.
Open Stage is where new acts are born, seasoned performers test fresh material, and absolutely anything can happen. Every show is different, packed with creativity, experimentation, and the kind of joyful risk-taking that makes live variety arts so exciting.
Whether you’re a performer looking for a supportive place to try something new or an audience member who loves discovering the next great act before anyone else, Open Stage is for you. Music, magic, clowning, comedy, juggling, hooping, acrobatics, circus arts, and delightfully uncategorizable acts are all welcome.
Because this event takes place outdoors, we won’t be including burlesque performances this time. We hope to feature burlesque at a future indoor Open Stage later this year.
Each performer gets about five minutes to make an impression. Sometimes it’s polished, sometimes it’s gloriously experimental, and it’s always entertaining.
