Accessibility at Moisture Festival

Moisture Festival is committed to making its events accessible for all who would like to attend.

Physical Accessibility

Entrance (Lower) Lobby:
Broadway Performance Hall has two lobbies. The Entrance Lobby is street level with Broadway, and up a flight of stairs from Harvard Ave. For no stairs access from the parking garage, go up Pine and take a left on Broadway to enter the building from the front. The box office is located on this level.

Upper Lobby:
The Upper Lobby is up one flight of stairs, or accessed via elevator. It has a bar with drinks (alcoholic and NA) and snacks available for purchase. There are seating options available while you wait.

Restrooms:
There are four restrooms available, a male and female gendered restroom in the upper lobby and two all-gender restrooms in the lower lobby (one with a urinal, and one without). All of them offer ADA accessible stalls. We welcome people of all genders to use the restroom that best suits their identity.

ADA Seating:
There are eight ADA seats available in the front row of the theater, A103-A112. These seats have no arm rests and can accommodate many body types, as well as being removed to accommodate a wheelchair.

If you would like to reserve ADA seating for your performance, please email info@moisturefestival.org, and we will hold those seats for your party.

No Stairs:
All seats in row A, including the ADA options, can be accessed without the use of stairs. All other seats require the use of stairs.

There is an elevator from the lower lobby to the upper lobby– there are signs in the lobby pointing the way, and our friendly ushers will help direct you as well!

Entering and Exiting During the Show

Moisture Festival shows tend to be very casual, and it is perfectly okay to enter and exit during the performance. We prefer audience members to exit and enter between acts, but it’s not required. There is a screen in the upper lobby where you can see what’s happening on the stage.

Our show program will include all sensory advisories that we are aware of. Please be aware that there are sometimes last-minute changes to Moisture Festival performances that may not be reflected in the program. Our MC will provide additional details if that’s the case.

ASL Interpreted Shows

Moisture Festival offers 2-3 performances per season with ASL interpretation. This year, the dates and times of these shows are:

  • Thursday, March 26th, 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, March 29th, 2:00 PM (Pay What You Can)
  • Friday, April 3rd, 7:00 PM (Frisky Friday | 18+)

Seating will be set aside for Deaf patrons, providing the best sightlines to the ASL interpreters. Any unused reserved seating will be released 10 minutes prior to showtime.

Relaxed Performances

We will be offering three Relaxed Performances in the 2026 season:

  • Saturday, March 28th, 3:00 PM (Pay What You Can)
  • Wednesday, April 1st, 7:30 PM (Pay What You Can)
  • Sunday, April 5th, 2:00 PM (Pay What You Can)

At these performances, we will offer hearing protection (ear plugs), quiet spaces, and the house lights will not be lowered completely. We encourage a welcoming environment for audience members who may need to vocalize or otherwise make noises during the performance.

Patrons may also feel welcome to bring their own noise-reducing headphones or other gear that helps them better enjoy the show!

Additionally, as for other performances, we will list all sensory advisories in our virtual program, as well as having paper programs available.

And, as with all of our performances, audience members are welcome to exit and enter the theater at their discretion. Front of House staff will not approach audience members in the lobbies (although you can always ask them for help if you need it!).

Audio Descriptions

We don’t yet offer audio descriptions of our performances, but we are working towards it. If you are interested in audio described performances, please reach out to let us know!
