Born in New York City and raised by Broadway superstars, Vanessa Vortex draws on years of growing up under dancing feet and hanging out on both sides of the backstage curtain. She currently lives in Bellingham Washington where she works for the Bellingham Circus Guild. She performs hula hoops, juggling, and cowboy rope spinning, and leads a community brass band called Brasscadia. Vanessa is most inspired by the timeless tradition of circus, the freedom of an artistic lifestyle, and the spark of meeting new people in our cozy vaudeville community.
