2022 Moisture Festival: Opening March 17

Drawing from a background in dance, gymnastics, theater, and music, Kari has been training, performing, and coaching circus arts and vaudeville skills ranging from various aerial disciplines to roller skate shenanigans since 2001. Her coaching credits include the Circus Guild, Versatile Arts, Emerald City Trapeze, Le Cirque Centre, the Circus Center (San Francisco), New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA), the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA) where she served as lead aerial coach for the Professional Preparatory Program, The Circus Project, where she served as Education Manager and rigging coordinator, and Echo Theater Company and a-wol dance in Portland. Deemed an “aerialist par excellence” by the Seattle Times, Kari has performed in over 30 major U.S. cities and internationally with the Seattle Opera, Pallazo Variete, Freidrichsbau Variete (Germany), Festival Burlesco (Portugal), and Teatro Zinzanni (Seattle and San Francisco), among many other venues regionally. Kari is delighted to join the 2023 Moisture Festival entourage; some audience members may note that she bears a striking resemblance to a certain Sally Pepper, who graced the MFest stage during the first 10 years of the festival.
