I have parlayed my career in circus and varieté theater as a performing artist, rigger, choreographer, producer and costume designer. In 2002 I became part of the American circus community training in a broad range of aerial acrobatics. I developed and refined my aerial and acrobatic skills with Shayna Swanson (Aloft Circus Arts), Nourbol Miermanov (MSA Circus Arts) and Helene Turcotte (Duo Mouvance, SF Circus Center). And most recently I apprenticed under Jonathan Pendragon in illusion magic. As an aerialist and illusionist, my credits range from Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Flynn Creek Circus, The Magic Castle. Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, Zoppe Family Circus, Master’s of Illusion CW, The Go Big Show TBS, and part of Hong Kong’s 2008 Olympic festivities. My duo lyra act is featured in the Paul Weitz film, Cirque du Freak, 2008. And in 2009 I played a role in the film Public Enemies, directed by Michael Mann. Additionally, under the instruction of Omar Chinibekov, I trained in Cossack trick riding and road with the Riders of the Ring as the headlining act in Circus Flora’s 2012 season. In 2017, I debuted my creation of the first-ever aerial quick change act on Spanish web, and in 2018 I premiered 20th Century Fashion Quick Change. Currently I live in Los Angeles, where I am continuing to develop my illusion magic practice and produce the pop-up circus cabaret, Leggy Riggs.
