Comp Tickets Policies

The Festival is pleased to provide every performer with complimentary tickets that can be used by the performer and/or their friends and family to watch a show from a seat in the house.

Please note that this process has changed slightly from 2024 (and hopefully improved!).

The number of tickets that each performer receives is determined by the number of shows in which they perform. Each performer receives one ticket per show, up to a maximum total of four tickets.

  • One show = one ticket
  • Two shows = two tickets
  • Three shows = three tickets
  • Four shows = four tickets
  • Five or more shows = four tickets (max amount)

Your comp tickets will be redeemable after March 3, or one week after your shows are confirmed by the booking team (if after March 3).

There is a limited number of comp tickets available and they are reserved on a first-requested, first-granted basis– so be sure to reserve your tickets well in advance.

Please note:

  • ALL seating is general admission so please advise your guests to arrive early in order to have their choice of seats.

  • There is no Standing Room available, and standing in the aisles is strictly prohibited by the venue.

  • Backstage Access for Guests: Please refer to our Backstage Safety & Guest Policy.

    •  A comp ticket does not allow backstage access.
    • Similarly, having backstage access does not secure a seat in the house

  • All audience members (complimentary or paid) must have their ticket scanned and enter the theater through the main doors.

How to Reserve Comp Tickets

Once you are confirmed as a performer and have signed and returned your contract, your comp code will be created to use through our online box office, Bold Type Tickets. You can use these codes yourself or share them with your guests to book their own seats.

How Comp Codes Work

  • One comp code will be frontloaded with the total number of comps you’ve earned.
  • The comp code(s) will be YOUR FIRST INITIAL+LAST NAME (please note this is your legal name, not your act name)
    • If you have more than two names (total) your code will use the last one.
    • If your last name is hyphenated, your code will not include the hyphen.
  • You or your guest(s) may use the code until all of the comps you’ve been allocated have been reserved.
    • Please be aware that the comp code will apply to ALL tickets in a cart, so advise any friends and family members that they should apply the code to a separate transaction for only the number of tickets you are bestowing on them.
  • Each code expires after all comps have been reserved.

How to redeem your code

  • Choose the number of tickets you want, then “Add” them into your cart and hit “Checkout”.
  • In “Your Cart”, you will see ‘Got a Promo Code?’ underneath the price total.
  • Click that and you can enter your comp code there.

If you get an ‘Invalid’ message after entering your Comp Code, it is possible that the comp limit for that performance has been reached.

  • Please email comps@moisturefestival.org with the date/time of the show and the number of comps you’d like to reserve, and we will check to see if we are able to accommodate your request.

Your tickets will be issued in exactly the same way as if you had purchased your tickets, and the same policies apply to cancellations and exchanges (which are allowable up to 72 hours in advance of the ticketed performance).

  • If any ticket reservations using your comp code are canceled, the code will automatically refresh with that number of comps and you can use it again.

The on-site box office is not able to arrange comp tickets at the time of show.  The only way to receive your complimentary ticket(s) is through Bold Type Tickets.

If you are having problems with the process please contact comps@moisturefestival.org.
