And now we are tasked with introducing a gentleman rhymester by the name of Peter Paul Van Camp. He has been travelling a circuit of folk clubs, folk festivals, college campuses, coffeehouses and house concerts in Canada from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. But don’t let that exciting résumé lead you to think that he’s just the newest hot thing, Mr. Van Camp tells us that “Fifty years into this gambit” he is finally “beginning to get the hang of it”.
Does that sound like the kind of thing you might expect to witness as one of the acts of a variety show? Jugglers, aerialist, prop comics, novelty acts, clowns and then … a quiet folk poet about whom it has been said “He will not only steal your heart, but return it, cleaned and pressed”?
Yup.
We’re delighted for Peter Paul Van Camp to return Seattle’s Moisture Festival in 2023 … can’t hardly wait!
