2022 Moisture Festival: Opening March 17

Eddie Van Glam made the transition from wrestler to burlesque artist seem natural. Growing up, he thought of professional wrestlers as comic book superheroes come to life. “I admired the wrestler’s Adonis physiques & was drawn to the hyper-masculine ballet they presented.” Having begun acting in stage productions at age 9 and going on to musical theater in college somehow he thought of his work as a wrestler as a natural next step. Of course, the link from wrestling to burlesque performance was obvious … well, it was to Eddie Van Glam and to he friend and early mentor Evilyn Sin Claire. Eddie became a student at Miss Indigo Blue’s [Academy of Burlesque] Boylesque 101 and the rest is a growing theatrical history. This is Eddie’s first year with the Moisture Festival, a special treat.
