Saffi has performed in three shows at Teatro ZinZanni: In Tents, with Recess Monkey; The King's Wish, with Caspar Babypants; and Big Top Rock: Dream On! where she was a featured contortionist, a hoop and fabric aerialist and was shot out of a cannon (no, really ;-)
Saffi Watson first performed in the Moisture Festival at the age of 6 with the Amazing Circus 1-ders of the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA). She has since appeared at the Festival performing contortion and aerial hoop, and has shared the stage with clown Godfrey Daniels and the Toy-Box Trio.
At age 8, Saffi performed with the visiting Cirque Dreams Illumination show, in a scene with Mongolian contortionists.
At SANCA, Saffi is currently a member of the Cirrus Circus youth company, who are frequently seen performing around the Seattle area. In 2014 Cirrus Circus went on a performing tour to England, Wales and Germany. Saffi's favorite disciplines are aerial, partner acrobatics, contortion and hand-balancing. She studies aerial with Emma Curtiss and has recently studied acrobatics, hand-balancing and contortion with Jacob Skeffington, Faith Wassman and Vita Radionova. Saffi has also participated in circus workshops in Montreal, Canada, and Maine, and studied rhythmic gymnastics with Tiana Grow.
Saffi has greatly enjoyed her previous Moisture Festival appearances and is so glad to be back this year!
